The City of Nampa is pleased to announce two upcoming public engagement events to gather additional community input on options being explored for the Ford Idaho Center.
Interested citizens are invited to a facilitated discussion on August 7 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Idaho Hispanic Community Center (IH2C), located at 315 Stampede Drive, to participate in an in-depth conversation and activity. This session will guide us through a process to identify the highest and best use of the facility, discuss important questions that need to be considered and consider long-term funding options for the facility.
Additionally, a town hall listening session will be held on August 11 at 5:30 p.m. within council chambers at Nampa City Hall, located at 411 3rd Street South, to hear from the public. Nampa residents will be given three minutes to share their feedback and ideas. The Nampa City Council is expected to discuss possible next steps regarding the Ford Idaho Center at the August 18 council meeting.
Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling shared, "The City of Nampa is committed to hearing from our citizens so we can make a wise decision. We hope the community will continue to be part of the conversation as we work together to determine the best path forward."
