Both sides satisfied with ongoing cooperation between the Royal Thai Police and KNPA through Thai-Korea Police Coordinator Officers during recent years, specifically on extradition of suspected persons under INTERPOL red notice and suppression of illicit traffic in narcotic drugs.

Ambassador Tanee thanked Police Liaison Officer of Seoul Metropolitan Police for facilitating the Embassy's special passport mobile service for 37,250 Thai nationals in the ROK last year and for close coordination with the Embassy on providing consular assistance to Thai nationals in the ROK.

Both sides also exchanged views on ways to protect Thai nationals in the ROK becoming victims of online prostitution and romance scam and agreed to put more effort in reduction of Thai undocumented immigrants in the ROK by suppression on illegal immigrant trafficking brokers, crackdown of illegal immigrants, especially those involved in drug and other crimes, suppression of their Korean employers and increment of Thai legal workers.
