Gloria's Generation
This week, our nation lost a fearless trailblazer, cherished friend and extraordinary champion for equality: Gloria Steinem. Gloria transformed what was possible for women in America, inspiring generations to know their power and equipping them with the confidence and courage to make a difference. Her influence reached from the boardroom to the halls of Congress-and our entire nation is stronger because of her leadership.
In an interview with MS NOW , I reflected on Gloria's remarkable life, the barriers she broke and the progress she made possible. Gloria would want us to remain relentless in pursuing greater rights, respect and opportunity for every woman. We will honor her legacy as she lived her life: not by agonizing, but by organizing.
Speaker Emerita Pelosi joins Peter Alexander on MS NOW to reflect on the life and legacy of Gloria Steinem.
The Crime of Wanting Freedom
This week, I took to the House Floor to call attention to Beijing's continued persecution of pro-democracy advocates Joshua Wong and Jimmy Lai. Joshua could face life in prison simply for peacefully demanding the freedom promised to the people of Hong Kong. Speaking out for freedom should never be a crime.
Congress has long stood in a bipartisan way for human rights in China, and we must not allow these courageous voices to be forgotten. Beijing's prisoners are told that no one remembers them or why they are there-but we remember them, we stand with them and we demand their freedom. The international community must speak out and call for their immediate release.

Operation Epic Failure
Six months into President Trump's illegal war of choice in Iran, 19 American servicemembers have been killed and more than 750 wounded. After billions of dollars spent, this catastrophic conflict has failed to achieve a single strategic objective. The American people and our courageous servicemembers deserve better than a war without a strategy.
President Trump must answer for the mounting human and financial costs of this reckless operation. Congress must uphold its constitutional responsibility, demand accountability and prevent this President from placing even more American lives in danger.
