The City of Wheaton and the Wheaton Police Department respect the right of people to assemble. The participants met the City's expectation for a peaceful gathering. Wheaton Police provided a presence at the event to ensure everyone's safety.

Original Post 4/5/25: The City of Wheaton and the Wheaton Police Department are aware of a group of people planning to assemble in the area of Adams Park at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5. The group has advertised this event as a peaceful rally. Gatherings of this nature are a protected form of the Constitutional right to free speech and assembly.
The Wheaton Police Department will be present for everyone's safety. We expect this will be a peaceful gathering and we respect the right of people to assemble peacefully, but we remind attendees that violent, criminal acts will not be tolerated.
