Water Main Upgrades Underway
Improvements to our water delivery system are underway.
A water main replacement project is happening on Riverside Drive between Walker Street and Industrial Road. Crews are replacing old cast-iron water mains with new pipes to continue to ensure reliable water service. Work is taking place Monday through Friday from 9AM to 3PM, with one lane of traffic closed. The project is expected to be finished in December 2025.
Starting mid-September, a new project will begin on Lincoln Street between East Lake Avenue and East Beach Street, on East Beach Street between Lincoln Street and Main Street, and on Union Street between East Beach Street and Riverside Drive. Work will be done Monday through Friday from 7AM to 5PM. The project is expected to continue through mid-February 2026.
Drivers should watch for crews in these areas, follow any detours, and allow extra time for travel while the work is happening.
