Street Closure - Tomar Road
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, South Tomar Road will be closed between 62nd Street and 63rd Street.
The City of Sioux Falls Public Works Water Maintenance Division will be making street repairs following the main water repairs that were made last week.
This work is anticipated to be completed by 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane and Sidewalk Closure - Sycamore Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the outside southbound lane of South Sycamore Avenue between Mission Street to 57th Street will be closed to allow crews to perform sidewalk repairs. The west sidewalk along Sycamore Avenue will be closed and pedestrians will be detoured to the east sidewalk.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within two days.

Lane Closure - Cliff Avenue
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, the southbound outside lane of South Cliff Avenue will be closed between Veterans Parkway and 85th Street.
Daves Construction will be performing work within the public right-of-way.
This work is anticipated to be completed by 11:00 a.m. on October 9, 2026.

Street Lane Closure - 12th Street
Beginning on Thursday, October 8, 2026, the outside westbound lane of West 12th Street will be intermittently closed from West Avenue to I-29 to allow crews to complete storm drainage and concrete surface repairs.
One lane of traffic will always be maintained in the inside westbound lane.
This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately two to three weeks.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution, reduce their speed when traveling near the work zone, and consider alternate routes to help minimize delays.
