Buffalo, NY - The City of Buffalo Department of Public Works (DPW) is reminding property owners that the city's annual fall leaf collection program will soon be underway. Collection will begin in the coming weeks and continue through mid-December, weather permitting. There are two methods available for residents to properly dispose of leaves:
Both methods are critical to preventing leaves, grass clippings, and other yard debris from clogging city roadways and storm drains.
Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup is conducted by district and will continue throughout the season, with timing dependent on volume and weather conditions. This method provides the quickest collection once the majority of leaves have fallen.

Residential Drop-Off
Residents may also bring their leaves and yard waste to the East Side Transfer Station at 793 Ogden Street, open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All visitors must sign in and show proof of City of Buffalo residency.
