SMHS Student Receives Prestigious Fellowship

Sally Feng, a student in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Ph.D. program at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, received a prestigious predoctoral fellowship award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Feng was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award through the NIH's National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases for her project, "Investigating Nerve Fiber-Associated Macrophages in Prostate Development."

The fellowship supports her ongoing research while also providing dedicated funding for professional development opportunities such as conference travel, allowing her to present findings, receive feedback from experts and expand her academic network.
