DGA Chair Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear released the following statement on Gov. Josh Green securing the Democratic nomination for governor in Hawaii:

"Congratulations to Gov. Josh Green on becoming the Democratic nominee for governor in Hawaii. He's a true public servant whose experiences as a physician and emergency room doctor have prepared him to lead through hard times and fight for the health and safety of the people of Hawaii. Gov. Green has bravely stood up to the Trump administration's attacks on public health; protected Hawaii's precious natural resources; and has brought people together to build more homes and make life more affordable for Hawaii families. The DGA looks forward to supporting Gov. Green with his reelection so he can continue delivering for the people of Hawaii in his second term."
