Vote in the November 3 General Election: Find a Ballot Drop Box

Oregon's statewide general election is on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Make a plan to vote - just follow the easy steps below to make sure your voice is heard!

1. Get informed!

Review your Voters' Pamphlet and the materials included with your ballot before you begin. Voters' Pamphlets are mailed to registered voters and available online or at our Hillsboro Public Library locations. See more voter resources below.

  • Watch the Hillsboro City Council Candidates' Forum to learn more about the candidates and their visions and goals for Hillsboro.
    
    
• Washington County:
  
  
  • Read the Washington County Voters' Pamphlet.
    
    
  • Find general voter information & measure information for Washington County in Spanish and additional languages.
    
    
• State of Oregon:
  
  
  • Read the State of Oregon Voters' Pamphlet in English, Spanish, and additional languages.
    
    
  • Listen to the State of Oregon Audio Voter's Guide.

2. Fill in your ballot & sign the envelope.

• Use a black or blue ink pen or a pencil to mark your ballot.
  
  
• Clearly fill in your selections.
  
  
  • You may choose to write in a candidate rather than select the options listed on your ballot. Make sure to write the candidate's name clearly.
    
    
  • You are not required to vote on every candidate or measure listed for your ballot to be counted.
    
    
  • If you make a mistake, draw an X through the incorrect oval or box, then completely fill in the correct oval or box. Make sure your correct selection is obvious.
    
    
  • If you need assistance with marking or returning your ballot, please call the Oregon Votes toll free information line at 866-673-8683 or TTY 800-735-2900.
    
    
• Seal and sign your ballot envelope.

  • Place your completed ballot in the provided return envelope and seal it.
    
  • Don't forget to sign the envelope! Your signature should be clear, recognizable, and match the signature on file in your voter registration record.

2. Submit your ballot.

• Return your ballot at an official ballot drop box or deliver it to the Washington County Elections Office by 8 pm on Tuesday, November 3.
  
  
  • Find a list of ballot drop boxes in Washington County. Drop boxes are available at Hillsboro's Brookwood Library and Shute Park Library, among other locations.
    
    
  • It is recommended to return your ballot at a drop box if it is within seven days of the election. Ballots returned by mail less than seven days before the election may not arrive in time to be counted.

3. Track your ballot.

• Sign up for BallotTrax to receive updates about your ballot by text, email, and voice alerts.

• Check the status of your ballot on Oregon's My Vote website.

4. Stay up to date on the results.

• Check the Oregon Secretary of State website for unofficial results. Results will be available shortly after 8 pm on Tuesday, November 3 and will be updated at regular intervals.
  
  
• Final election results will be certified and made available on December 10, 2026.
