Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation in Northfield, New Hampshire

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella announces that members of the Attorney General's Office are responding to a report of an officer-involved shooting that occurred early this morning in Northfield, New Hampshire.

The incident reportedly occurred at a private residence as officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call and resulted in one adult female being shot by one of the responding officers. The adult female died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are now under active investigation. The name of the deceased will be released following notification of next of kin, and an autopsy will be scheduled by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

There is no known threat to the public at this time, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
