Leveraging automated demand response to accelerate the clean energy transition

Abstract

Simple Wi-Fi connected devices can reduce power demand by Indian households by up to 15% at peak times. This approach offers an easy and cheap solution to improve the reliability of the power grid and to reduce carbon and particulate matter emissions from electricity generation.

This paper is part of the Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries (PEDL) programme.
