Suspect Arrested in Domestic-Related Felonious Assault with a Knife on West Braddock Road
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is investigating a domestic-related felonious assault with a knife that occurred early Wednesday morning at the Newport Village Apartments.
On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at approximately 2: 26 a.m., Alexandria Police officers responded to the 4800 block of West Braddock Road, for a reported domestic-related assault. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from appartent knife wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, Junique Morris, 42, resident of Alexandria, was quickly apprehended and charged with malicious wounding.
The incident appears to be isolated, and there is no known ongoing threat to the community. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and processing the scene for evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
