Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Maldives He Fen Meets with the Maldives Men’s National Futsal Team

On December 28, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Ms. He Fen of the Chinese Embassy in the Maldives met with the Maldives Men's National Futsal Team, as the team will head for a training camp in China in preparation for the SAFF Futsal Championship to be held in Thailand in January.

Ms. He stated that both the Chinese and the Maldivians love and attach great importance to sports and the training camp is a vivid demonstration of China-Maldives friendship. China stands ready to help the team sharpen their tactics, prepare for the championship and deepen sports exchanges and cooperation. She also wished the team remarkable success.

FAM President Ahmed Thariq extended thanks to the Chinese Football Association and the Chinese Embassy for the thoughtful arrangements. He stated that the team cherished the training opportunity in China and would prepare for the championship with the spirit of perseverance and unity, showcase Maldivian football strength and add new highlights to Maldives-China sports exchanges.
