Community members invited to learn about transit options in Columbia

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia has started a new series of interactive sessions called Community Classroom, designed to engage with residents on topics related to City service lines and departments. This month's session will include a presentation on ways residents can get around town without driving, including the City's free bus system and our network of trails.The City's trails cover 62 miles and Go COMO, the City's public transit system, offers seven different bus routes, as well as routes on days of University of Missouri football games.The first session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and a second session will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Conference Rooms 1A/1B in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Content for both sessions will be the same. Two time slots are offered to enable more participation.The sessions are open to all Columbia residents. Participants are asked to register at the following link to ensure enough refreshments are available: https://forms.gle/GSMw6DFH6FutfUSC9.The Community Classroom series is hosted by the City's Community Connectors program.
