G7 Rapid Response Mechanism Annual Report Published

The 2025 Annual Report of the G7 Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) has been published, outlining the activities carried out over the past year to counter foreign threats to democratic systems. NATO, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden are also associated with the Group.

The Report provides an overview of the results achieved and the initiatives undertaken in a complex geopolitical context. It focuses on the Mechanism's key priorities: responding collectively to foreign threats; countering transnational repression (TNR) as an increasingly significant form of foreign interference; and improving administrative efficiency. As several G7 RRM countries held elections in 2025, the Report also includes dedicated thematic sections on efforts to safeguard the integrity of electoral processes in these contexts.

The work of the G7 RRM - active since its establishment at the Charlevoix Summit in 2018 - reaffirms the commitment of Italy and the other members of the Group to strengthening international cooperation, enhancing response capacity, and addressing foreign threats to democratic societies in a coordinated manner.
