WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) released the following statement marking three years since Hamas' October 7th terrorist attack on Israel:
"Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists committed an unimaginable act of terror, killing more than 1,200 innocent men, women, and children - including 46 Americans - and taking 251 people hostage,12 of them Americans.
"Hamas murdered, raped, and took people hostage, carrying out the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
"Thank the good Lord there are no more hostages in Hamas captivity, but this battle of good versus evil is far from over. With antisemitism on the rise and nations condemning Israel, the United States must remain clear-eyed, standing shoulder to shoulder with our Jewish brothers and sisters and our ally, Israel.
"We will not tolerate antisemitism in our communities, and we will never forget the atrocities Hamas committed."
