WASHINGTON - The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer asking Kentucky officials to not release a criminal illegal alien charged with rape, human trafficking, and sexual abuse while working as a landlord.
According to local reporting , police in Louisville arrested the suspect, Rolando Cenobio Vasquez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, on July 29. Vasquez had been renting out a room to a mother and her 15-year-old daughter when he began abusing the teenager in December 2025. He reportedly committed acts of sexual violence while threatening both the child and her family, and even occasionally offering money to the victim to keep quiet about the assaults.
