TLU Alum Shoutout: Fred Biery ’70

We're sending a huge Bulldog round of applause to TLU alum and U.S. District Judge Fred Biery, who recently received the San Antonio Bar Association Joe Frazier Brown Sr. Award of Excellence. According to SABA, "This well-deserved recognition honors his exceptional service, distinguished leadership and unwavering commitment to the legal profession. His contributions have made a lasting impact on the legal community, making him a truly deserving recipient of this prestigious award."

Biery, who earned his BA at TLU in 1970, was president of the student body and played varsity basketball during his undergrad years. He then attended law school at SMU, earning his Juris Doctor in 1973. He has served as a member of the TLU Board of Regents and Corporation Board.

His career is marked by many awards and distinctions, and TLU sends warmest congratulations for this latest achievement!
