State Route 24 (SR-24) Caldecott Tunnel Overnight Closure Bore #2 Maintenance Work

Monday November 3rd through Wednesday November 5th 10:00 PM-4:30 AM

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing and maintenance.

Starting Monday, November 3, 2025, through Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM each night. Bore 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on Eastbound State Route 24 (SR-24) for tunnel washing and maintenance. During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open. All work is weather dependent.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
