TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a Commission Conference on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. Items scheduled for consideration at the Commission Conference can be found here. Public comment may be taken on any item noticed for public participation. Any interested person wanting to participate on any item should contact the PSC's Office of General Counsel at 850-413-6199.
Tuesday, July 1, 2025 Following the Commission Conference, the PSC will hold a hearing to consider a proposed Settlement Agreement between Florida Public Utilities Company (FPUC), the Office of Public Counsel, Jackson County School Board, City of Marianna, and Jackson County resolving all issues in FPUC's rate case. FPUC filed a petition for a rate increase in August 2024, and the Commission issued its final order on the case April 2025. Intervenors then requested a hearing on the order, before submitting the proposed Settlement Agreement. FPUC's electric division currently provides electric service to 33,100 customers in two distinct service areas: the Northeast Division (Fernandina Beach) and the Northwest Division (Marianna). A live broadcast of the Commission Conference and hearing will be available on the PSC's website (click "Watch Live and Archived PSC Events") and may be broadcast on the Florida Channel (check your local listing). |
