DENVER, March 23, 2026 - Brandy Reitter, Executive Director of the Colorado Broadband Office within the Governor's Office of Information Technology, has been named a 250 Champions honoree by the National Academy of Public Administration and LocalGov250. Honorees of the 250 Champions Initiative are inspirational leaders who go above and beyond in public service, and Reitter has done so in her quest to expand broadband access for Coloradans.
"I'm honored to be included in an initiative that elevates the vital role of public service as America approaches its 250th anniversary," said Reitter. "This recognition shines a light on the culmination of my work in state and local government and the profound daily impact that all public service professionals have in serving their communities."
The highly competitive Government Champions initiative received hundreds of nominations from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Reitter was selected as one of the elite 250 Champions honorees announced this March.
Reitter and the other Government Champions will be formally recognized at a national event preceding the ICMA National Conference in Philadelphia on May 12, 2026.
