From 17 to 19 December, President Gitanas Nausėda will pay a working visit to Brussels, where he will take part in the European Council meeting and the European Union-Western Balkans Summit.
On December 17, the EU-Western Balkans Summit will discuss the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the EU and the Western Balkans, the region's integration into the EU, and progress on reforms. The leaders will also discuss security and defense cooperation and support for Ukraine.
On 18-19 December, EU leaders will address key items on the Union's agenda, including support for Ukraine, the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the strengthening of European defence and security, and the implementation of the Multiannual Financial Framework, among other issues.
