Beginning the night of Wednesday, Jan. 21, CheckMarq and D2L will use single sign-on and multi-factor authentication to help protect personal and institutional data.
After the change, students, faculty and staff will log in using their Marquette email address and password, not their username. Users may also be prompted to use multi-factor authentication when logging in from off campus.
Those who need help setting up multi-factor authentication or have questions about authentication methods can contact the IT Services TechSquad at (414) 288-7799.
A new CheckMarq Guest Access portal will also launch Jan. 21. The updated portal will feature a more modern, mobile-friendly design. Students will still be able to grant guests access to view grade, bursar and financial aid information, as well as make payments. As part of the update, students must reset their CheckMarq guest password by following the guest password reset instructions.
The university thanks students, faculty and staff for their cooperation as it continues to enhance account security and improve the CheckMarq and D2L experience.
