WASHINGTON, D.C. - This week, Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01), a lifelong conservationist and avid outdoorsman, highlighted the importance of responsible stewardship of our nation's public lands and historic sites during a House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing.
During the hearing, Congressman Wittman spoke with Will Glasco, CEO of Preservation Virginia, about his work to preserve America's history and maintain a successful public-private partnership between Rediscovery Jamestowne and the National Park Service (NPS).
"As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we must recognize the importance of preserving historic sites, such as Historic Jamestowne, and continue to highlight the role they played in our nation's founding," said Rep. Wittman. "I appreciate Mr. Glasco for testifying in today's hearing, and for all his leadership efforts to preserve Virginia's historic sites for generations to come."
