Testimony: NYLAG Advocates for Medicaid Funding, Home Care, and More in State Budget

NYLAG submitted testimony on Medicaid and other health issues in the annual New York State budget, underscoring that the Executive Budget should:

  1. Reject Medicaid cuts.
  2. Preserve coverage for immigrants and other who will lose federal coverage under H.R.1 and increase funding for navigators and the MCCAP program.
  3. Ensure access to home and community based services.
  4. Reduce the role of managed care in providing essential services and ensure access to care.
  5. Increase the personal needs allowance for nursing home residents.
