Opening of the Sanatorium for orphans and disabled in the village of Shekhmizon, Khovaling district

On June 20, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, while continuing his working trip to the Khovaling district, visited the village of Shekhmizon and opened the Sanatorium for orphans and disabled, which was built by local entrepreneurs from the Karimov and Odinaev families to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The building of the sanatorium consists of 20 bedrooms, study rooms, equipped halls for learning sewing, carpentry and painting, a conference room, library, medical room, bathroom, and warehouse for storing products.

Two swimming pools, football and volleyball courts and a children's playground have been built in the courtyard of the sanatorium, which will help create favorable conditions for the rest, study, and entertainment of orphans and disabled people. A greenhouse has also been established on an area of 40 acres of the land.

30 local residents are provided with permanent jobs at the Sanatorium for the orphans and disabled. The establishment of such a social institution is a clear example of the implementation of the social policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and provides a good basis for improving the living conditions, education, upbringing, care and recreation of orphans and disabled people.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the conditions created in this social institution and highly appreciated the initiative of local entrepreneurs and the level and quality of the work done.

Recommendations were given to the officials of the sanatorium to provide a high level of service, create appropriate conditions for upbringing, ensure comprehensive care and show constant compassion for orphans and disabled people.

It was also emphasized that the proper and effective use of this modern, well-designed facility should be established in cooperation with local and republican education authorities.
