Minister of Foreign Affairs receives introductory call by the new Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Thailand

On 5 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Sisavath Inphachanh, Ambassador of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon assuming his duties.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the close and longstanding bilateral relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR, and discussed various areas of cooperation. These include preparations for the upcoming high-level visit to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Thailand - Laos diplomatic relations, as well as efforts to promote trade and transport connectivity. The Thai side also reassured that the situation in the Middle East will not affect oil export to the Lao PDR.
