On the evening of November 15, 2025, North District General Patrol officers observed a stolen vehicle in the area of McPhillips Street and Burrows Avenue being driven erratically. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled from police. With the assistance from Air1, three occupants, two men and a woman, were arrested.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., patrolling officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2020 Hyundai Elantra which was being driven erratically. When the vehicle failed to stop and fled from police, officers requested assistance from members of Air1, who quickly provided visual containment. Air1 members observed the vehicle stop in the 1300 block of Carruthers Street where one man fled on foot and was quickly arrested by officers.
Air1 followed the feeing vehicle to the 100 block of Leahcrest Crescent in Mandalay West, where the vehicle had came to a stop and both remaining occupants were taken into custody.
The Elantra was determined to have been stolen earlier in the evening from a residence in the Whyte Ridge neighbourhood.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old Gagandeep Singh BHULLAR, is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and two breaches of a Release Order. He was detained in custody.
A 23-year-old man faces charges of Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer, Resist Arrest, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000. He was also served with a Serious Offence Notice under the Highway Traffic Act and/or The Criminal Code of Canada and eleven Provincial Offence Act Notices for various traffic infractions. He was released on an Undertaking to appear court at a later date.
The woman passenger was released on her own recognizance with no charges.
