Route 61 in Ste. Genevieve County to Receive ADA Sidewalk Improvements…

SIKESTON― Contractor crews will improve the sidewalks on Route 61 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation's initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

This section of roadway is located from Route 32 to Donze Street. A 10-foot width restriction will also be in place while construction is underway.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 a.m. with completion anticipated Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
