Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Iran had a phone conversation
On March 3, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the conversation, condolences were extended over the loss of civilian lives and compassion was conveyed to the families affected by the recent events. The regional situation was discussed, and it was noted that any further escalation could entail grave humanitarian and security consequences.
Furthermore, all differences and disputes must be resolved exclusively through peaceful means, dialogue and diplomacy. The consistent and principled position was reaffirmed.
