Seattle police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the Bitter Lake Neighborhood in North Seattle last night. They responded as part of the North Precinct Violent Crime Reduction Plan.
On April 13, just after 1 a.m., patrol officers located multiple 9mm shell casings in a parking lot near the 400 block of North 105th Street, yet they found no victims. Police did not locate any suspects, and no arrests were made. Officers found a nearby mailbox struck by gunfire.
Shortly thereafter, a 32-year-old male walked into Northwest Hospital suffering from a grazing gunshot wound to the head, his injuries were minimal, he was in stable condition. He reported to police that he was struck by gunfire while driving in the area.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation by detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit, they responded to the scene, processed evidence and conducted interviews.
