WVU to celebrate newest Academy of Distinguished Alumni inductees

WHAT: West Virginia University Academy of Distinguished Alumniinduction ceremony

WHO: WVU Vice President of Alumni Relations and WVU Alumni Association CEO Kevin Berry, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Paul Kreider, Academy of Distinguished alumni inductees, Alumni Association representatives and members of the University community

The 2026 honorees are Michael J. Florio, Nitin N. Kumbhani, Mary Ellen Mazey and Morris Morrison.

WHEN: Friday, Jan. 30, 5 p.m event start time, 6 p.m. ceremony

WHERE: Erickson Alumni Center, 1 Alumni Drive, Morgantown

NOTES: The inductees will be available to speak with media at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, in the Erickson Alumni Center Barnette Board of Governor's Room, 110-111.

In addition to the Jan. 30 induction ceremony, this year's Academy inductees will be honored during a special on-court recognition at the WVU vs. Baylor men's basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Hope Coliseum.
