The City of Garland's Volunteer Office, Volunteer Garland, is excited to announce the launch of its volunteer registration portal, Get Connected, for the fourth annual Duck Creek Litter Cleanup. Registration for the May 3 cleanup is now open.
The annual cleanup will take place across six designated sites along the Duck Creek Greenbelt. The City is seeking 150 to 200 volunteers and welcomes participation from schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, local businesses and corporate sponsors. Volunteers can choose their preferred cleanup site. For more information, visit VolunteerGarland.org.
The new Get Connected platform provides an interactive experience where residents can create custom profiles, explore volunteer opportunities across multiple City departments and track their service hours. Local nonprofit partners such as the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association, Preservation Society for Spring Creek Forest, Keep Garland Beautiful and Skatepark Respect are also featured in the portal.
Don't forget to participate in the 2025 North Texas Community Cleanup Challenge now through May 31! No cleanup is too small; any amount counts. Let's work together to make Garland a cleaner and safer place for the whole community to enjoy. Be sure to log your contributions!
