GODFREY, IL - Lewis and Clark Community College is hitting the road this summer through its new "LC Road Trip" outreach initiative.
Throughout June and July, LC staff members will travel to libraries, community centers, and public locations across the community college district to connect with prospective students and families.
They will answer questions about enrollment, provide information on financial aid and academic programs, and strengthen community partnerships.
The initiative is a direct reflection of the college's commitment to accessibility and community engagement by meeting students where they are and making higher education more approachable.
"We are excited to bring LC into the towns we serve and to showcase all the opportunities the college has to offer," said Cora Gill, LC's high school liaison in Macoupin County. "Whether it's degree programs, short-term career training, athletic programs, or resources for adult learners, LC offers pathways for a wide range of students."
The road trip officially kicked off on June 10 at the Staunton Library and will continue throughout the summer with additional stops planned for the rest of June and into July.
Upcoming stops include:
Representatives from Enrollment, Advising, Financial Aid, Adult Education and additional student support areas will participate in the road trip to help community members learn more about programs, services and opportunities available at LC.
The college hopes the initiative will continue strengthening relationships throughout the district while reinforcing its commitment. LC is committed to supporting students both on campus and within their communities.
