Anniversary Celebrations are Fourfold
Another year of splendor and carnage has come and gone, adventurer.
Since our last content update, you rushed through Zerg-infested gameplay, battled new bosses[RQ1.1][B[1.2], and faced the Tal'Darim in the crossover event with StarCraft. This content update brings anniversary celebrations of all kinds, Chaos Convoy Season 2, and more.
As with previous content updates, there will be server maintenance starting on May 26, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. PDT for Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe servers, and on May 27, from 1 a.m. - 3 a.m. PDT for servers in the Americas. After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live specific dates for any features going live afterward are provided below.

Trial of True Evils
Event Time: June 1-June 17, 3 a.m. local server time
Diablo, Iphael, Vitaath, and Saarodan have declared you their greatest threat and you're wanted either dead or dead. For Sanctuary's sake, may your soul be prepared to conquer the Trial of True Evils. Will your luck fail when facing the Four, or will you defy the portents to prevail?
During the Trial of True Evils, face off against the most sinister bosses of Diablo Immortal! These unlock over time while the event is live, giving you time to strike each fearsome foe down. During the event, you can challenge a new boss every few days, and towards the end of the event, you can take on these baddies back-to-back. Each fight will be scaled to you, so it should be a tough fight for all.
Overcome Hell to Earn Spoils
Log into the Trial of True Evils Anniversary Event to receive a free Anniversary Avatar frame! By participating in the event, users can earn the following rewards:
- 1x Hellbinder Butchie Familiar Transmogrification
- Legendary Crests
- Random Legendary Gear
- Random Set Gear
- Miscellaneous Rewards
Anniversary Legendary Gem Trial
Event Time: June 1, 3 a.m.-June 17, 3 a.m. server time
Try one max Rank 5 Legendary Gem for 1 hour during the event period. You can swap Gems during this period.
Active time for this trial is total time, not elapsed time. Being offline does not decrease the active timer.
Chaos Convoy Returns
Event Time: May 27-July 13, 3 a.m. local server time
The Chaos Convoy returns for those battle-hardened and hungry enough to once again throw down in a frenzied Battleground match. While the event is live, use randomized power progression to amplify the challenge. Choose from randomized Gifts of Corvus which grant powerful combat modifiers, where you'll need to make decisions on the fly to adapt to the battleground, and to your foe.
Before each Battleground match starts, you'll be able to pick your first Gift of Corvus to power up your build. These offerings presented will be random, but you'll be able to re-roll each of the cards that's offered. Across the match, every 60 seconds you'll be presented with another Gift of Corvus to amplify your build. Keep selecting Gifts as the game goes on, find your most potent combination to emerge victorious!
Gifts of Corvus can grant varying effects and modifiers, from increasing DoT damage, to increasing movement speed, summoning spectral weapons to fight alongside you, or even reduce your ability cooldown timers. There's more than 100 different Gifts to try, and virtually limitless combinations!
No two matches are quite the same. You'll earn twice the Battleground rewards by playing in this limited-time mode.
Please note that during this event, Paragon Skills and Specializations, Warband Remnants, and Boss Skill affixes on equipment will be disabled in the Chaos Convoy game mode.
Tower War - Chaos Convoy Rewards Changes
Chaos Convoy rewards have been changed and now progress with the Tower War reward track, which should make Chaos Convoy much more rewarding if you're a PvP minded player. This extends to daily participation rewards, ranked progression rewards, and seasonal competitive rewards.
Chaos Convoy Gameplay Improvements
- Improved matchmaking for healthier queue experiences.
- Balance adjustments have bene implemented based on player performance and gameplay data.
- We've also re-worked the UI screen for Cards of Corvus so that you can augment your gameplay screen to select your preferred rewards without have to change your screen. Select the 'Click for Half-screen'.
Cross Server Bout of Realms Championships Return
The pinnacle of PvP Tournaments returns to challenge the best. In the Bout of Realms on June 1, teams of 8 will compete against their servers to crown new regional champions.
- Registration Period: May 27, 10:00 a.m. - May 31, 11:59 p.m. local server time
- Points-based stage: June 1 - June 4
- Points-based tiebreaker stage (get Top 64): June 5 - June 6
- Top 64 to Top 4: June 8- June 12
- Finals Stage: June 13 - June 14
Champions will be crowned. The structure will be the same as previous Cross Server Bout of Realms tournaments, but not a Cross Regional Tournament. We're looking to bring this back continually as a more frequent competition for more teams to compete, learn, and come back stronger each tournament.

Delayed Pain Cosmetics
Event Time: June 4-July 2, 3:00 a.m. local server time
The new Battle Pass Season 53-55 cosmetic set is Delayed Pain, a fitting name for fearsome gear sporting razor-sharp spikes and gutting flame. Don't get burned by missing out!
Winds of Fortune Event
Event Time: June 10-June 17, 3:00 a.m. local server time
During Winds of Fortune, the 4-player party Normal Gems bonus drop will be doubled and unaffected by the daily cap, and only the first twelve Common Gems of the day will be tradable.
While Winds of Fortune is live, activate your 24-hour buff to receive this boost. Once activated, the buff duration is in real time and will end 24 hours after it's been initiated. If you have not activated the buff within 24 hours of the event's end, it will be enabled automatically. Any rewards not claimed before the end of the event will be auto-claimed on the next login.
Any of these items will drop in duplicate quantities:
- Gold
- Experience
- Battle Pass Points
- Normal Gems
- Legendary Items
Items from these activities will also drop in duplicate quantities:
- Horadric Bestiary
- Challenge Rifts
- Bounties
- Fishing

During this limited-time event, Battle Pass rewards will not be doubled, and the weekly limit on Battle Pass Points and Normal Gems will not change. Any bonus Experience gained will be affected by your current modifier.
Additionally, there are limits to each item that can be earned in duplicate quantities. You'll earn double the amount until you reach the limit. Check out the event in-game for more details.
Eastgate Vestry Warm-up Event
Event Time: June 10- July 1, 3:00 a.m. local server time
Slay through the Eastgate Vestry to earn coveted rewards, and dominate your foes to earn progress:

Set Gear Reforging Limited Time Event
Event Time: June 1, 3 a.m.-June 17, 3 a.m. server time
Convert your surplus Set Items into an amplified version! During this event, reforge three of the same Set Item into one version of that item with a chance to roll up to three Attributes and three Affixes.
- Take 3 item slots of a single set (example, 3 Boots)
- Reforge the three items into one new item (same slot, same set type)

The item has a chance to turn into one of the following combinations of Attributes and Affixes:
- 2+2 - 79%
- 3+2 - 14%
- 3+3 - 7%
There is a daily limit of 3 attempts with a maximum of 10 per week.
Balance Changes
Blood Knight
- Crushed Pity (Abomination): Reduced tracking range for empowered Primary Attack.
Demon Hunter
- Fume Threads (Smoke Screen): Grenade damage increased from 110% - 154% to 132% - 176% of your base damage.
- Supply Everlasting (Spinning Chakram): The increased damage from a chakram hitting the same enemy twice (outbound and return) has been increased from 40% to 80%.
Wizard
- Lissana's Sorrow (Frostfield): Critical Hits while empowered will now Freeze in an area, but this cannot trigger more than once every 1.5 seconds.
Feature Updates
Target Gem Filter Improvements
We've made several improvements to how Target Gems are filtered in the in-game Market:
- The Target Gem filter is now always visible, instead of only appearing when a Target Build is set.
- Enabling the Target Gem filter with no Target Build set will now guide you to the Community Builds, allowing you to set a Target Build.
Buff Panel Optimizations
The buff panel can now be pinned open and no longer refreshes, or reorders both buff and debuff effects.
Albrecht's Dream Dungeon Changes
During the Flesh Harvest quest, when fleeing from Diablo inside Albrecht's nightmare vision, you now have the option to skip the chase encounter.
Fabled Wisp Changes in 5.0.0
With our next major update, Fabled Wisps from Inferno 7-9 are being automatically recycled and converted into Universal Fabled Wisp at a 1:1 ratio. Universal Fabled Wisp can be exchanged for Inferno 10 Fabled Wisp at a 7:1 ratio.
Fabled Wisp from Inferno 10-12 will stay, and the new Fabled Wisp for Inferno 13-15 will be added following the release of the 5.0.0 major update.
