President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Cyprus to Armenia, Michael Mavros

On the occasion of Independence Day, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador of Cyprus to Armenia, Michael Mavros.

The President congratulated the Ambassador and emphasized that the relations between Armenia and Cyprus are based on historical friendship and solidarity. He particularly highlighted Cyprus' role as a reliable and valuable partner of Armenia, and expressed gratitude to the Government of Cyprus for its consistent support, especially during difficult times.

Ambassador Michael Mavros expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and congratulations, stressing that he will continue to make every effort to further activate and deepen bilateral relations, including new areas of cooperation.

The interlocutors also underlined the importance of resident embassies opened in Yerevan and Nicosia, which will contribute to the expansion and effective development of cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the necessity of establishing peace and ensuring stability in the region.
