Yuhe Wetland Park has recently opened to the public. Covering 85.04 hectares, the park is located in the northern part of Haidian District, right next to the northern branch of the Palace Museum and about two kilometers away from Haidian Joy City.
Stepping into the northern section feels like entering a slowly unrolling landscape painting. The park's layout - one lake, two causeways, and twelve islands - offers many poetic corners. The wide sandy beach in the southern area adds a touch of seaside charm, making it a favorite playground for children. Adults can stroll along the eco-trail, watch the reeds sway, listen to the murmuring streams, and enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery.
Beyond its scenic appeal, the park also functions as a living ecosystem. Six water purification channels create diverse wetland landscapes, including rivers, lakes, streams, and ponds. Where land meets water, a variety of plants form a natural water filtration barrier. This ecological ingenuity turns the park into not only an urban "green lung" but also an important site for stormwater storage and flood regulation.
Such a beautiful place - bring your family and friends for a relaxing visit!
