Join Keep Fort Worth Beautiful at its annual Neighborhood Litter Stomp 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17. Registration is now open!

Each fall, residents across Fort Worth make a difference in their community by coming together and removing litter from their neighborhood. Whether it is the sidewalk you stroll every morning, the park where your family spends weekends or the neighborhood roads you drive through weekly, the Neighborhood Litter Stomp offers a simple way to make a visible impact. Volunteers can participate individually or as part of a group - everyone is welcome. Free litter cleanup supplies and event T-shirts are available, while supplies last, so register early!

Not sure where to volunteer? Join Keep Fort Worth Beautiful at Trinity Park. This hub is the perfect location for first-time volunteers or anyone looking for an easy way to get involved.

Scrap tire collection event

As part of its efforts to reduce illegal dumping, the City of Fort Worth is also hosting a free scrap tire collection event for residents.

Whether they're tires found as roadside litter or old tires stored at home, you can bring them for proper disposal. All tires collected will be processed and converted into reusable rubber material. You do not need to be a Litter Stomp cleanup volunteer to participate.

Tire collection will be held from 8 a.m.-noon at Hazel Harvey Peace Center for Neighborhoods, located at 818 Missouri Ave.

Accepted items:

  • Tires from passenger vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles and SUVs).
  • Rubber tires from small vehicles/equipment (bicycles, scooters, dollies and lawnmowers).
  • Rims, preferably removed from tires.

Please make sure tires and rims are free of dirt, water, oil and paint. Tires from businesses, commercial vehicles, 18-wheelers and tractors will not be accepted.
