BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN
UNITED STATES COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION DIVISION I HONORS

Five Berkeley College student-athletes earned Division I recognitions from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for basketball, at a ceremony on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Buffalo, NY.
"I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes for the tremendous work they have done this season," said Sherrille Shabazz, EdD, Vice President, Student Development and Campus Life, Title IX Coordinator, and Athletic Director. "As University of South Carolina Coach Dawn Staley has emphasized, success is built on discipline, consistency, and a commitment to excellence, and this group has embodied those qualities all season long."
Honorees include:
Women's Basketball Team
Aliyah Carroll - Honorable Mention All-American
Baltimore, MD
Carroll averaged 10.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Knights during the 2025-2026 season. Appearing in 28 games, she scored 16 points or more six times, and notched double figures 14 times (50 percent of the games she played).
Ariella Johnson - First Team All-American
Brooklyn, NY
Johnson was the team's leading scorer this season, averaging 14.0 points per game. Additionally, her 2.6 assists and 2.3 steals were both team-highs, and she collected five rebounds per game. Johnson racked up 1,352 points for her career.
Nyeira Spady - Honorable Mention All-American
New Rochelle, NY
Spady appeared in 26 games, scored 7.8 points, and pulled down 6.5 rebounds per contest. Additionally, she tied for the team-high in steals with 2.3 per contest.
Men's Basketball Team
Yasin Adbur-Rashid - Honorable Mention All-American
Brooklyn, NY
Abdur-Rashid averaged 12.6 points and 2.4 assists, while tying for the team-high of two steals per game.
DaMarco Watson - Second Team All-American
Brooklyn, NY
Watson, the team's top scorer this season, averaged a team-best 20.9 points per contest, most recently breaking the 1,000-point mark for his college career. Watson was second on the team in steals per game and placed second in rebounds per contest and assists per game.
The Berkeley College Men's Basketball team ended its run with an overall record of 12-16 and a conference record of 8-8.
The Berkeley College Women's Basketball team ended its 2025-2026 campaign at the USCAA Division I National Basketball Championships. On Tuesday, March 3, the No. 8-seeded Berkeley College Knights came up short against the No. 1-seeded Bloomfield College by a score of 92-40, though the Knights won a consolation game against the No. 8-seeded Five Towns College on Wednesday, March 4, by a score of 65-50.
