The Sparks City Attorney's Office has secured multiple misdemeanor theft convictions, resulting in either the recovery of stolen items or the court ordering restitution. The City Attorney's Office remains focused on the "Back Our Businesses" initiative.
Below are a few cases from May in which criminal prosecutors from the Sparks City Attorney's Office specifically sought firm consequences for intolerable actions. A Sparks Municipal Court judge imposed the following sentences after being found guilty:
On May 4, 2026, Stephanie Bennington was sentenced to 160 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the condition that she obey all laws and stay away from Scheels. Originating from an incident that occurred on November 24, 2025.
On May 4, 2026, Jessica Lopez was sentenced to 150 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: complete 30 active days of jail, obey all laws, pay restitution in the amount of $464.00, and stay away from Lowes. Originating from two separate incidents that occurred on July 14, 2025 and April 27, 2026.
On May 4, 2026, Corey Lucas was sentenced to 180 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: pay restitution in the amount of $237.97, abstain from drugs and/or alcohol, stay away from Marshalls, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on May 1, 2026.
On May 4, 2026, Alberta Lingnowski was sentenced to 30 days in the Washoe County jail, pay restitution in the amount of $48.71, stay away from Scheels and Outlets at Legends, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on February 16, 2026.
On May 7, 2026, Angel Guzman was sentenced to 135 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: complete 45 active days in jail, stay away from Scheels, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on May 6, 2026.
On May 11, 2026, Tyler Dillon was sentenced to 180 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: pay restitution in the amount of $29.99, stay away from Scheels, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on December 11, 2025.
On May 14, 2026, Andrew Kahu was sentenced to 90 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: obey all laws and stay away from Scheels. Originating from an incident that occurred on November 24, 2025.
On May 18, 2026, Richard Logiudice was sentenced to serve 120 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the condition that he complete 30 days of active jail time, stay away from the Scheels, pay restitution in the amount of $649.47, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on October 15, 2025.
On May 21, 2026, Darren Lopez was sentenced to 60 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: complete 10 active days in jail, stay away from Kohl's, and obey all laws. Originating from an incident that occurred on March 16, 2025.
On May 27, 2026, Rocky Kelly was sentenced to 180 days in the Washoe County jail, suspended on the following conditions: obey all laws and stay away from Target. Originating from an incident that occurred on May 23, 2026.
