Cambridge Preschool Program Application Opens October 1 for 2026-2027 School Year

The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood is excited to accept applications to the Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP) for the 2026-2027 school year beginning Wednesday, October 1 through Friday, November 14! CPP is a publicly-funded program that provides free, high-quality preschool for Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds for a school-day, school-year placement. There are additional costs for full-day, full-year (including summer) programs for some families.

Families apply to CPP through a single, centralized online application and can choose from programs offered through Cambridge Public Schools, the City's Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP), and select community-based preschools and family childcare providers. All CPP classrooms offer high-quality curriculum and equitable learning experiences that focus on school readiness and social emotional learning.

Eligibility:

Cambridge residents who will be 4 years old or 3 years old by August 31, 2026 are eligible to apply to CPP for enrollment in the 2026-2027 school year.
Please note: there are limited seats for 3-year-olds and there may be additional eligibility requirements.
