WARREN COUNTY, Ga. - All westbound lanes of Interstate 20 are closed near milepost 156 due to a crash involving a truck carrying liquid nitrogen. I-20 westbound is expected to be closed for multiple hours as crews clean up the area.

Georgia DOT is in the process of setting up a detour. The westbound on-ramps are being shut down at Exit 160 and Exit 165.

Detour: take Exit 165, follow SR 80 south to Warrenton, follow US 278 north to I-20/Exit 154.

Drivers are encouraged to use other exits to navigate to US 278, as Exit 165 may back up.

Please note, Georgia DOT is not responsible for investigating or cleaning up the crash site.

Up-to-date information about this closure will be available via Georgia 511. Drivers are encouraged to Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
