Political consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India

On April 1, 2026, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of the two countries were held in Dushanbe.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening political dialogue, economic and trade relations, attracting investment, developing relations in the fields of science and education, economy and trade, and culture.

At the same time, the parties discussed issues of multilateral cooperation, including within the framework of the Central Asia-India Dialogue, international and regional organizations, and expressed readiness to continue constructive cooperation within the framework of these structures.
