São Tomé & Príncipe Lauds Royal Initiatives, Expresses Admiration for HM the King’s…

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe Mrs. Ilza Maria dos Santos Amado Vaz lauded on Tuesday in Rabat the Royal Initiatives and expressed her admiration for the Leadership and strong commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to peace, stability, and development in Africa.

During a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita, Mrs. Amado Vaz, who is on a working visit to Morocco, praised the Leadership and commendable contribution of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the international Community's efforts to promote peace, stability, and development on the African continent.

In this context, she reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and promoting a strategic partnership based on mutual respect, solidarity, and alignment with the principles of international law.

Both ministers also welcomed the momentum generated within the framework of the Process of African Atlantic States (PAAS) to transform the African Atlantic region into a geostrategic framework offering significant opportunities for synergy and cooperation among its member countries in strategic areas such as the environment, food security, health, energy, logistics interconnectivity, resource pooling, and the exchange of experiences, enabling it to serve as a zone of co-emergence and stability.

Mr. Bourita and Mrs. Amado Vaz further acknowledged the strategic role of the Process of the Atlantic African States in enshrining peace, stability, and prosperity in the Atlantic region.

Mrs. Amado Vaz also commended His Majesty the King's Initiative to facilitate access to the Atlantic Ocean for Sahel countries as well as the Nigeria-Morocco African-Atlantic Gas Pipeline project, underscoring the strategic importance of these Initiatives which form part of Morocco's active solidarity with its African brother nations.
