As the November 5, 2025 Rural Health Transformation Program application deadline nears, older adults' access to health care in rural areas is not a priority topic among CMS staff and states. Now is the time for LeadingAge partners and members to talk to their states to ensure the needs of older adults, and the providers who serve them, are included in states' plans to improve healthcare in non-urban areas nationwide.
