Traffic Advisory: Water Main Repairs on South Market St. and Monocacy Blvd.
The City of Frederick announces and urgent traffic advisory due to watermain repair, on October 2, 2025. The right-hand lane of South Market Street heading towards the City will be closed, including the combined straight through and turn lane on Monocacy Boulevard. Additionally, a straight-through lane on Route 355 will also be closed.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate delays. Department of Public Works crews are working diligently to repair the watermain and restore normal traffic flow as quickly as possible. Updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
