On 16 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kęstutis Budrys, will travel to Turkey to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. This is one of the most significant international forums on security, held annually since 2021, and gathering world leaders, Ministers, and other high-ranking officials from Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The head of Lithuania's diplomacy will participate in the forum discussion on European Security: Unity and Strategic Renewal in Preparation for the NATO Summit in Ankara." On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with Ministers from Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, as well as representatives of international organizations.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held under the patronage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be attended by more than 460 high-level guests and a total of nearly 5,000 participants from 150 countries. This year, the forum will focus on mapping tomorrow, managing uncertainties. The event is expected to feature in-depth discussions on the security situation in the Middle East, transatlantic relations, and the NATO agenda, which is becoming particularly relevant in the run-up to the Ankara summit this July.
