"The Fair Fares program, providing a 50% reduction for lower-income and working-class New Yorkers, has been critical in making the transit system affordable. The MTA has long supported expanding the eligibility of Fair Fares and increasing enrollment of those who qualify. We applaud the administration and City Council for agreeing on a plan that delivers affordability to even more riders."
