Selection process for European TEN-T Coordinator

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport has launched the procedure for the selection of a new European TEN-T Coordinator for the North Sea-Baltic European Transport Corridor, with the appointment expected by autumn 2026.

Following the municipal elections in France in March 2026, the current European TEN-T Coordinator, Ms Catherine Trautmann, was elected Mayor of Strasbourg. She has subsequently requested the Commission to terminate her mandate as Coordinator by the end of July 2026.

The selection process will now be launched in line with the applicable procedure to ensure timely appointment of her successor.

Please consult the following document for more information on the upcoming selection and designation process.
